Although I did not sell the coins I had brought in for appraisal the service they provided was on point. This gentleman Justin was really polite and provided me with knowledge about said coins I had not even known with all the online research. I had a really good and unique experience at Brigandi this week. I had a bunch of old sliver coins to sell. As is typical at gold, silver and coin dealers, Justin asked what I was hoping to get for the items. To the uninitiated, this might not seem like a fair question, but it is as experience will prove. So I was actually told that my asking price was too low, and they could do better than that.
I found these guys to be fair, not pushy and I got the best offer price I found that day. I asked a lot of questions how they do their pricing, and got transparent answers. They also enjoy talking about numismatics (and sports memorabilia) and take their time in a low pressure transaction.
It's good to remember that there are two parties involved in a transaction. Of course there are dealers who are pushy and not trustworthy, but again there are customers I've seen who are rude, entitled, and expect that these types of businesses are simply ATMs who just give away money.

This is a great place. The first thing you'll notice is the circular layout of the store. The unique way the store is set up makes it easy to see all the fantastic sports memorabilia and collectible coins and currency for sale. They have a wide variety of both vintage and modern sports memorabilia at the best prices I've seen.
The staff is also very friendly. The first time I went into the store, I was immediately greeted by the store's owner, and offered assistance to find what I was looking for. Every time I've gone into the store, the staff is always eager to share its knowledge and insight into the sports memorabilia business, and have lots of interesting facts about the various items they sell.
Whether you're a tourist just visiting NYC or a serious collector of sports memorabilia, this is definitely a place to check out.

After doing some online research, and reading some horror-stories about bad coin dealer experiences, I was a bit apprehensive about authenticating and selling some of my coins, given that I'm a relative novice to the field. After doing some shopping around, I tried out Brigandi Coins. I was greeted by Justin after spending a little time browsing their collection & sports memorabilia, and he worked with me to assess and price my bullion and coins. He was not pushy at all, and very relaxed. He gave me fair answers about what I had, & answered all my beginners' questions without any condescension. His quotes -- and those given to me by Robert -- were in line with the research I had already done, and with what I hoped to get. I sold what made sense to sell that afternoon & left a satisfied customer.

I came in to the store about 8 weeks ago with some questions about some sports memorabilia that I had and some old coins that I was interested in selling. Not only were the sales people (Robert and John) honest with me about the value of my items and the potential future value of my items, they provided me with a wealth of knowledge of the industry and my particular items. They were all friendly and not simply looking to make a sale or make me a bottom-dollar offer. Their baseball knowledge is off the charts btw.
I ended up coming back, after researching some things on my own and trying to get a better deal at other shops, and sold my items to Brigandi's. They provided me with the best value of all places that I shopped around.
Since then, I have placed several orders with them for some older sports memorabilia as gifts for the upcoming holidays. Since I didn't know exactly what to get for my father and brothers, I provided them with some information about which teams and players they liked, and the sales guy (Chris) was able to work with my budget to narrow down the search (they have memorabilia for every type of price range). Ultimately, we found some pretty unique pieces that will make great gifts.

A great find! I walked in this store one day looking for a 1985 gold panda. They had one and I asked if I could trade it for my 2008 gold panda. The 1985 is more desirable and more expensive, but the owner happily traded it with me straight up. I have been buying gold and silver from them ever since. I can’t say enough good things about the Brigandi Coin shop and the people that work there. In my experience they have always been polite, knowledgeable, and honest (yes honest). The selection of coins and memorabilia is remarkable, the best I’ve seen. More importantly, this is the only coin dealership I have ever been to where I have never had a problem with the people there and did not feel like someone was trying to rip me off. In fact there have been times when I have gone there with a price in mind for a coin(s) and the price they asked was below what I had in mind. I have always gotten the feeling that they are more about cultivating relationships with customer rather than getting your money, which is exactly what I look for, but have rarely found. I recently needed a case to put a collector coin in, it is very rare to find anyone selling anything coin related in manhattan!! I finally came across Brigandi Coin Co. (referred from a hobby shop) near Bryant Park. Not only did they have empty coin cases, they went through the trouble of finding one that was the perfect fit for my coin and then gave it to me at no cost! I stopped by the store to sell some 1960s baseball cards. I had been trying to sell them for some time and had got a numbert of offers. I was looking for a gift at this store and was intrigued by both the coins and currency collection as wells as the sports memorabilia. It was really enjoyable browsing through their signed vintage and modern baseball memorabilia. There was one signed by Babe Ruth selling for $35,000!
Although I could have just worn a sign on my forehead that says “just browsing”, the proprietors (somehow it’s I find the term “sales staff” not as appropriate) were friendly, polite and answered my questions. I visited Brigandi to sell a Krugerrand which is a very standardised gold transaction, so there's little room the personal touch or good offers, however I sent a few emails before hand which were personally replied to, and I was given directions on request. At the shop, which was very pleasant, I was politely greeted and offered a price that was competitive with bullion merchants, even ones that are purely online so no markup for being practically on Times Square. With some mandatory paperwork, the transaction was completed in a few minutes. I don't think they could have done anything better.
